Has the speed and athletic ability so a team may believe he can be an every-down player. At this point he is a two down prospect who will have to develop in coverage.

Lattimore, Cedrick DT. Mabry, Tyler TE. My suspicion is the following are going to be looked at hard for cost benefit reasons or may be cap casualties.
However, he could be renegotiated and extended freeing cap. TE- Dickson, he's done, his knees are shot. RB- Prosise, 4 years of significant unavailabilty to one injury or another, when he was needed he let the team down, no reward for signing him back.
That's still enough to build some depth that can stay healthy and improve both the OLine and the DLine. At the end the team ended the season pretty nicked up and there will be some positions where fresh faces will be needed to prevent repeating the same.
There will also need to be a revisiting of several defensive schemes as the team seemed vulnerable on the edges. Further this last year's team tackled poorly and gave up far to many yards after initial contact.
There are coaching issues therein, but there are personnel issues implicit in this observation.
Since we're talking about salary cap stuff -- I think it's good to look at the free agents who might be in line for new deals this off-season.
It really comes down to two key guys -- Chris Carson and Shaquill Griffin. Under normal circumstances that would be candidates for extensions.
I'm just not sure how eager players will be to sign new deals while the CBA is under negotiation. Interesting times.
I suspect there is too much money on the table for all to be wanting to fight at length about the implementation of a new CBA. Don't think creating the new deal will be as fractious as last time.
That's JMO and it is certainly a worthwhile situation to be concerned about though. Now I may be skewed because the Hawks obviously hit gold in with their drafting, it's unrealistic to find that much amazing talent in the rounds they did.
But I feel like the past 5 years or so, outside of maybe Marquee players, a lot of the Hawks drafting has ended up with so-so players, players who can't stay healthy, players who take themselves out of the NFL before they even play, and possibly players who have other off-field issues.
I don't know what the issue is, is it just because the team competes year after year and now drafts at the bottom? Either way from my casual fan standpoint it seems like the poor drafting has been the thing really preventing the Hawks from getting over the hump.
Zag, that's certainly a view that others here have as well. I don't completely agree however as the team has drafted some pretty capable players in the last few drafts, but there have been a few significant fails as well.
If it were easy to always draft good players there would be no busts. Very often what a player accomplished in college simply doesn't translate as a pro for any number of reasons.
Frequently as well this is a situation where how good the players are that were drafted is a matter of personal opinion. I'm rather sure there is divergence of opinion about CB- Shaquill Griffin for example, Many here think he's of dubious quality as a CB yet the league has asked him to be an alternate to Sherman in the Pro Bowl which speaks to the opinions of those with superior football knowledge.
He is a better player than many here admit. To me proof of the drafting record can be aligned with how well the team is doing in terms of record and there the team has had a very enviable record for the term of this present regime.
Do not the let the negativity of a small group of anti- regime folks colour your thinking on this and make your own decisions based upon objective indicia that more carefully scores the results.
Another indicia is how many of the players drafted are still playing either in Seattle or elsewhere. We should accept as well the team has recently faced a significant draft fail in McDowell which skews the results and they have had to overcome a cap crisis faced as a result of earlier successful drafting.
The team is constantly rebuilding itself and to me they are doing it better than most of the league but certainly better than it has ever been done here before.
In games, Walter Jones was called for 9 holding penalties in the course of 5, pass plays. KitsapGuy wrote:. Seahawks kick Ass!!!!
Member of the 38 club. It's a pay system more based upon the number of snaps the player has played rather than actual performance. Wright to presumably include performance incentives that would otherwise by NLTBE but are all considered "likely" because it is the last year of the CBA.
